Charlotte Kemp is the Futures Alchemist, a futurist keynote speaker who helps people and organisations find new ways to think about the future.
Charlotte is a member of the Association of Professional Futurists (APF) as well as past President of the Professional Speakers Association of Southern Africa (PSASA) and President of the Global Speakers Federation (GSF).
Charlotte is the author of a number of books, including ‘Futures Alchemist’ which presents a narrative of how to use her Map, Compass and Guide model to navigate unknown futures.
Charlotte’s signature talk is “Become the Conscious Futurist the World Needs, Now” and explores ways to intentionally create changes that will usher in our preferred future for our own industries.
She also serves on a number of association boards and steering committees and works as an Association Futurist.
Charlotte lives in Cape Town, South Africa but loves to travel.
I was fortunate to have been able to attend Charlotte's online event recently. It was called Prophylactic Philosophy which was something different and thought provoking. Charlotte guided the conversation expertly and I am looking forward to many more discussions on that topic.
Charlotte presented her concept of "A Map, Compass and Guide to managing the future" to TFG's entire Marketing community. Her talk was both insightful and inspiring - we all gained something that we could implement, be it in our work or personal lives.
She provided us with a solid set of tools so that one can face the future with more confidence, make more informed decisions, and feel some peace and certainty in the midst of other people’s chaos.
Charlotte made 'preparing for future change' seem so easy to do. It takes real 'smarts' to make something potentially so complex seem so easy and simple.
I have attended webinars hosted by Charlotte and I have found them to be detailed, insightful, and useful for both professionals as well as people who are just beginning their futures journey. The sessions are moderated in a way that participants also get to put forward their viewpoints. I strongly recommend working with her and look forward to more learning events with her in the near future.
What Charlotte speaks about is contemporary, relevant, and urgent for business today. I had the privilege of inviting her to speak to our fraternity at the Professional Speakers Association of India on Futures' Literacy. As professionals and business leaders, she helped us understand the constructs with which to have greater clarity on how to read the trends in our context. I recommend in-depth sessions with Charlotte as an essential risk-mitigation strategy.
I was stuck and so turned to Charlotte to get unstuck. She's great with techniques on how to clear the mind of your audience so that they are open to new ideas. It works not just to imagine the future but in everyday work.
Charlotte's talk on The Business Of Professional Speaking was riveting, inspirational and practical. Our candidates were enthralled, transformed and grateful for her insight and passion delivery of her content, our chat box on zoom and post event comments were the buzzing proof.
I was personally blown away by her level of professionalism, fluency with her content and commitment to deliver a world class experience.
We invited Charlotte to our PSA Spain meeting this month to give a talk, and she absolutely rocked it! We have some very exacting professional speaker members, but last night everyone went away happy because she gave us so many useful and actionable ideas on positioning and pitching. We loved her so much we’ve invited her back in April!
Charlotte made an insightful contribution to our ISMA Global online Stress & Wellbeing Summit from 2-6 November. The conversation focused on getting ready for the new world of work and Charlotte delivered some key messages to her audience who were keen to engage with her. I recently Chaired the 'Tomorrow's World & The Future of Work 2020' discussion panel at the International Stress Management Association Global Summit. As a keynote speaker Charlotte's presentation had a unique perspective which was very thought provoking; especially on the topic of 'deciding what you want your life to be and design your work around it' Very powerful stuff. Her personal story made us all question ourselves and our own lives. Courageous and with conviction. As a futurist she offered very insightful ideas and thought provoking takeaways.
